We spent most of the time on the road. It was a mistake to plan having a short holiday in Malacca, during weekends when there’s school holidays going on. Gosh! My birthday celebration is, I would say not really a pleasant one this year. Oh well. Blame myself for not checking the calendars first. Motherfu*%@#! My mood was gone after stuck in the 5-hour traffic madness on the street. But again, just get focused on the agenda that night and one of them is to attend our friend’s wedding dinner.
We managed to catch up with each other after we graduated from the Executive Diploma course last year. Everyone is busy with their lives and this is the only way to gather up. Short one yet still a satisfying gathering as all of us have fun at the dinner as we were entertained by MC on stage. While others ber-joget we just talked and laughed, oh yea while screaming as the music getting louder and louder. What???! I can’t hear you! Oh gosh!
We stayed at the Sterling Boutique Hotel and the place is so great! We almost lost our reservation of our room thanks to the fucking jam that almost cost me a room. I can tell you that night 90% of the rooms are fully booked and so does the other rest house and hotels. Thanked God!
We didn’t managed to eat the famous satay celop. This is madness. It seems that tourists really don’t mind to queue for hours to get the food. Well, lucky for a local like myself, I could always opt for next trip. Perhaps, less people in the city during low peak season, i.e. NOT DURING SCHOOL FUCKING HOLIDAYS!
It’s just another year. Maybe better birthday celebration next year. I totally lose interest to celebrate my birthdays these days. Oh well, maybe male strippers and blasting clubbing next year? How about that? I shall put that in my “to-do” list!
Till next time. Perhaps less cranky post.
Finally! My guy get to go to my hometown. The Land Below The Wind. From the West to the East. Kota Kinabalu it is. PJ guy would be curious how KK would be like. I really hope he loves the place which in fact he did. Now we are looking forward for another trip down to KK again. I was invited by my old childhood friend and neighbor for his big day. This time I was invited to be the emcee for the wedding ceremony and dinner. We known each other since we were 9 years old. After 21 years of friendship, I’m happy that I could be there for him and his new bride.
After 2 and a half hours flight from KLIA, we reached KKIA with warm welcome from the hotel staff at the arrival hall. After we’ve checked in and collect our rental car, we headed to the beach side located at Tanjung Aru Beach for few photographs and followed by food hunting in the city. Excited and hungry at the same time.
I missed all the food that I loved since childhood. I introduced to my guy the ultimate beef noodle soup and pork noodle soup from Kuo Man, Sunny Garden. Verdict from him, it was so tasty and we tempted to “ta-pau” home. Nah! That’s not going to work. It’s impossible to bring it all the way back to PJ, right?
Wedding. That’s the next event in this trip. While preparing for the emcee scripts, my guy is the photographer for the day. He took quite many pictures and we are happy to be there to be part of the “jing-bang”! Bride is so pretty and I’m happy that my friend finally popped the question after 10 years in the relationship. It was his first girlfriend and also childhood sweetheart too. So romantic and it’s a great thing to witness the union of 2 good friends of mine that we hope will last forever.
The girls from High School!
It’s good to be home.
My guy and I wanted to be away from the city for the weekends. We took the bus and off we go to the Lion City via Aeroline bus. It was a 5.5 hours journey and we were comfortable with the journey all the way through. Thanks to the smart system Aeroline has that enable us to enjoy our entertainment via movies or music for the next 5 hours journey. He finished almost all the “Back to the future” Movies while I’m watching almost all the sappy sad touching movies. The only downside is that there’s no WiFi in the bus that day. Once we have reached Vivo City, we took few snapshots before we meeting Jun Sern’s relatives for quick dinner later on.
It was not a quick dinner after all. It was a huge dinner that almost exploded my tummy and Jun Sern’s face. If you know what I’m trying to say here, just scroll down and look at the pictures. You will understand what I’m trying to describe here. 1 litre of beer is not a joke! It’s a good beer and I don’t bloated at all. That’s what we called the good quality beer at Brotzeit inside Vivo City Mall.
After dinner we went back and rest. We were quite tired. I knocked out straight once I hit the bed after shower. This trip we don’t really have an itinerary. It’s more like a free and easy kind of thing. We even packed and travel light throughout this short trip. People surprised that we managed to pack all our things into small compact backpack. I don’t even bring my make up. No fancy outing clothing this time for me. It’s more like walking and taking pictures with our baby-Nikon D90.
These are the pictures we took while walking throughout Orchard Road.
Shopping malls? Not really interested to buy things. It’s boring. Singapore is a great place to shop. Unfortunately, I don’t feel like shopping that day. I’m interested to take more pictures and of course, EAT! After meal, I just walked to burn more calories. Talk about burning fat after a heavy meal. Talk about food, we had BAK KUT TEH for breakfast then sushi for lunch. Heavy! Well, I just continue walking around the places as to make myself less guilty by eating all these good food that contribute to my expanding waistline.
The next morning before we head back to KL we went to have breakfast. English breakfast is the choice of the day. The place we went is just minutes away from the hotel and I like the ambiance of the place. Forgot the name of the place. Perhaps I was too hungry and sleepy at the same time to even bother about the name. Service is good and the food is fine.
Oh yea! It’s Rocky Master!
Till next time. Another one end of this year. Year end sale? Shopping this time? Perhaps.
Booked the tickets. Packed our bags and off we go.
Short and concise planning. Bus trip back and forth. So far, it was comfortable journey. Depart from KTM, we took Nice bus service. The bus got a weird smell and we have to put up with that for 6 hours of journey. Good for me. No motion sickness crap going on during the journey. Thanked God!
Then we reached the main bus station at Kuala Terengganu and our driver took us to the jetty. I can’t really remember much as I straight knocked out in the car. My guy and Pak Mansor, our driver have an interesting conversation I guess. One thing for sure, it’s about POLITICS! Once we arrived the jetty then we took a big boat heading to Lang Tengah. It was a slow journey and it took almost 40 minutes to reach Lang Tengah. I nearly fainted in the boat itself. Drunk like mad even without alcohol.
Here we are! The resort we went called Lang Sari Resort. It’s the cheapest among other resorts in Lang Tengah. So far, we have no issue with the place. It’s just that the 1st night we stayed there, there was a group of Chi-Beng hooligans conquered the place. They ate like they just came out from prison and left us nothing to eat during lunch. We got smarter when comes to dinner time, we arrived earlier and managed to eat sufficient of food. But the 2nd night, since the hooligans left the island in the morning the whole resort only left 3 couples. How nice! Calm and we are enjoying the rest of the stay.
After the crazy group left the island, we changed room too! This time from the back room to the front room. The room is facing the sea. At night, we can hear the sound of the waves and it became the lullaby of us for a great sleep by the beach. The 2nd day we went for quick snorkeling and the rest of the day my guy and I enjoying the sunset. Not much of extreme activities here but more of a relaxing gateway that emphasize on recharging our body and to de-stress ourselves.
These are few pictures taken using Nikon D90.
And of course, both of us. Till next time. Perhaps about our Singapore trip last week?
Talked about quality. The Swiss always known by their high quality and precision. As long it’s not made by somewhat local brand, I think I won’t be drown with this ship! The vessel was a bit old but it’s well maintained by the crews. The bed and the comforter were still new. Well, at least I won’t be sleeping with the “unknown” company that love to crawl around. The water was clear and calm that afternoon. We managed to take a quick nap while the vessel sailing towards to the middle of the sea for the sunset. Luckily I wasn’t suffering with sea sick that day. Just a smooth sailing nap time in a vessel. Total bliss.
It was hot and sunny that late afternoon after we woke up from a short nap. But I’m enjoying every bit of the sunshine that day. The sound of the calm wind and the soft sound from the vessel engine are the 2 things that soothe my feeling. I finally away from hectic city. All we did during that time is to sit down and relax. How I wish I could do this every single day.
While waiting for dinner, we are welcomed with free flow of drinks and alcohol till 8pm. Thanks to the crew, we got this snap shot before we go around the deck with wine in our hand. I think this is a perfect gateway for couple who are looking for a short trip for a weekend.
There it is. Enjoying my glass of wine and waiting for the sunset.

It was the 1st and it won’t be the last for us to Langkawi together. To save time, I’ve booked MAS from KLIA to Langkawi for short weekend gateway with Jun Sern. After long haul bus journey to Redang last time, I’ve called it quit when comes to travel by bus. Unless the bus itself if spacious and comfortable. For a bus journey for more than 5 hours, I think 50-minute flight would be better this time. Sorry! Being cheapskate is not my option this time. Usually to travel on budget is my thing, but again not this time. This trip was a special one. So no cheap-cheap “piang” with me!
Awesome view from the top. I bet I will not see this if I opt for a bus instead. I have to admit. I’m afraid of taking a plane. The zero gravity shit that scare the crap out of me do gave me the cold sweat when I’m on a plane. It’s a morning flight that we took from KLIA and it was a bumpy ride. Yupe! No joke. A short 50-minute flight that nearly made me wanna scream my lungs out. Which I did! But maybe not entirely with the whole lungs, maybe 10%? So, it was an embarrassing moment. But who cares? It’s not that I’m gonna see these people in the plane again right? Thanks to my big sun shade, they can’t recognize me and probably forgot about everything once they’ve touched down at Langkawi later.
Not bad. Was welcomed and she’s on time too. At least they didn’t spelled my name wrong. Took a quick snapshot of this piece of paper while others were thinking what’s wrong with me? On 2nd thought, they should put it in a proper plat or something instead of just standing there waiting for me a piece of paper. That would be more classy, I think. Anyway, I don’t even want to complaint about this small petty thing. The most important thing is to get into that vessel, like right now!
Yupe! Here I am. While still in a bumpy boat transfer from jetty I’m still take the opportunity to cam-whore while on the move. Even with the risk my camera might fell into the sea forever. That’s a risk I willing to take. It was a sunny day and I haven’t slather on the sunscreen on my face. No worries about that. Maybe my skin looked better in lobster red this time. This will be the living proof that I was on a vacation at Langkawi, right?
What else could I say? I’m and thirsty and hungry. The captain and the crew welcomed us with a warm greeting once we climbed up to the vessel. The welcome drink? I don’t know what the hell they put inside the drink, it tasted awesome! I can’t even tell what it is. Taste like Ribena+lemon+sweet bandung. My taste bud is screwed. Talk about the food. The grilled chicken was prepared and cooked in perfection. It’s freaking good!
So far. That’s all. Will be continued….
I would like the pictures to do the talking this time. Shall We?
Firstly, the early morning sunrise view from the Redang Island, Redang Bay Resort.
It’s breakfast time. Nasi Lemak and porridge. The porridge is damn good. It’s actually with chicken stock! I took 2 bowls of porridge that morning.
After breakfast, it’s snorkeling time. I took pictures from the lifeguard, Ah Seng as he managed to take a better view with his water-proof camera.
The corals! Aren’t they beautiful?!
Before the afternoon snorkeling session, we took few group snapshots before we hit the sea!
Let’s enjoy and see the candid action by these people. These heroes are ready to rock the sea.
While waiting for our turn to go up the boat, I’m enjoying the sun and the clear blue water.
Here we are again! Under the sea…
Not to forget, we took pictures under the water too!
Yea! Rock on!
